Communications
Communications covers email campaigns, templates, surveys, content, analytics, and deliverability. What you see depends on your organization’s plan.

Organizations without the Communications Pro module see an upgrade notice on Pro-only tabs instead of the tab content; core tools (templates, surveys, analytics, deliverability) stay available either way.
Journeys (multi-step automations) moved out of Communications to their own page — use the Journeys nav item, not a tab here, for automation building.
Send a campaign
Section titled “Send a campaign”- Open Communications → Campaigns (requires Communications Pro).
- Create a new campaign and pick its audience. You can build a segment there and then, or prepare it in advance under Segments — it’s the same builder either way.
- Choose or write the content, using a Template if you have one.
- Preview, then send a test to yourself before sending live.
- Send or schedule.
Before you send
Section titled “Before you send”- Confirm who should receive it — check the campaign’s selected segment, and edit it under Segments if it needs adjusting.
- If this is a new organization, confirm with an admin that email sending is fully set up.
- Check Deliverability if you’re troubleshooting bounces or delivery issues.
- Don’t paste production member lists into personal email tools as a workaround for a missing segment.
- Respect unsubscribes — MemberHero handles suppression, don’t try to route around it.
- If Send Approvals is enabled for your organization, a broadcast needs a second person’s sign-off before it goes out.
